The Senior Citizen Law Project of Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida provides free legal assistance to Broward County residents who are 60 years of age or older. We may be able to assist you in the following areas:

- Public and Subsidized Housing
- Eviction Defense
Health and Public Benefits
- Food Stamps
- Long-term Care
- Medicaid
- Medicare
- HMOs
- Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
Consumer
- Home Foreclosure Defense
- Advice on bankruptcy as option for debt relief or to save home
- Advice regarding debt collection including medical bills and credit cards
- Defense of garnishment of Social Security and Wages
- Scams and Fraud
Naturalization
- Assistance with application for U.S. Citizenship to qualify for public benefits
Abuse and Exploitation
- Exploitation by family member
- Domestic violence
Caregivers (18 or older)
- Primary caregiver (18 or older) for an older adult (60 or older) who meets the frailty requirement under DOEA guidelines.
- Grandparent/relative age 55 and older with minor child residing in the home
