“A Night at the Casino”

The Aging & Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Broward County is hosting "A Night at the Casino," on Thursday, November 18, at the Mardi Gras Casino in Hallandale Beach. The cost to participate is $50 (fifty dollars) per person, which includes: a full buffet; players’ tournament; live entertainment; and the chance to win prizes. There will be a cash bar. Limited bus transportation, from and to the ADRC, is available.
In order to register to play, participants must provide a valid driver’s license, passport, or a Florida Identification Card. With its partners, StayWell Health Management and the Medicare program, the Aging & Disablity Resource Center of Broward County (ADRC) is operating a demonstration program to help randomly selected beneficiaries learn about their health risks and take steps to better manage their health.
Under the program name, "Staying Healthy USA," StayWell provides health questionaires, tailored health reports, customized educational materials, health counseling, self-management tools and referrals to the ADRC for demonstration participants. The programs will run through April 30, 2012.
Since the selection is made by StayWell, no one can register online.
