During the month of December, Audrey Millsaps, Board Member/Past President, Areawide Council on Aging, was the guest on "Volunteers Are Priceless Resources." Mrs. Millsaps continues to dedicate her time assisting the Board of Directors who make critical decisions that affect the lives of over 347,000 year-round Broward County senior residents. She has been an active Board Member for 27 years.

In recognition of November as Alzheimer's Awareness Month, Dr. H. Murray Todd, renowned Neurologist in Broward County, was the special guest on "Spotlight On Seniors." Ms. Lederberg gladly welcomed Dr. Todd, an expert of numerous memory disorders, to his program titled "Alzheimer's Advocate Addresses Issues." He has appeared on the November program for each of the past 15 years.

The October program of "Spotlight on Seniors" features Nilda Urbistondo, Elder Helpline Director, and Dorothy J. Kanapa, Screening Supervisor, Aging & Disability Resource Center. Their show is titled "Where, How, and Why to Secure Senior Services Information."

Dr. Henry "Hank" Mack, a resident of Lauderhill, was the guest during the month of September. Dr. Mack, one of the few surviving Buffalo Soldiers of the United States Calvary, was elected to the Broward Senior Hall of Fame in May. His program was titled "Superb Senior Merits Hall of Fame."

In August, Dr. Anurag Agarwal, a Radiation Oncologist associated with the North Broward Medical Center, was the featured guest on "Spotlight on Seniors." Dr. Agarwal discussed "Research and Development in Cancer Disease" with the show hostess, Edith Lederberg, Executive Director, Aging & Disability Resource Center.

The July show featured Kenneth S. Rubin, Esq. An Elder Law Attorney, Mr. Rubin also serves on the Areawide Council on Aging Board of Directors. The program was titled "Elder Law—Serving Seniors' Needs."

During the month of April, State Representative Jim Waldman, District #95, was the guest on "Spotlight on Seniors." His program was entitled "Legislator Leads Positive Aging Action." Representative Waldman continues to be a champion of senior issues in Tallahassee.

In March, Gale Fontaine, Chair, and Della McCurdy, Vice Chair, Aging & Disability Resource Center Advisory Council, were the "Spotlight on Seniors" guests. Their program is titled "Leadership Directs Aging Advocates." Fontaine, a resident of Lighthouse Point, is the owner of Four Corners Bingo. McCurdy, Special Consumer Services Manager, Florida Power & Light, has been the utility's official liaison to the ADRC for more than 10 years.

During the month of February, Dr. Todd Darmody, an Endocrinologist, with offices in Fort Lauderdale, was the featured guest on "Spotlight on Seniors". His program was titled "Physician Weighs Diabetes Measures." Dr. Darmody discussed the symptoms, prevention techniques, and treatments for this disease that affects numerous senior Broward residents. He is affiliated with Broward General Medical Center.

January's program, "Area Angel Answers Prayers of Aging," welcomed Gail Gannotta, LPN, Senior Intervention Program Director, Aging & Disability Resource Center. Ms. Gannotta utilizes a matchless combination of nursing skills, teaching talents, innate compassion and sensitivity to outreach the seniors in dire need of services in Broward County.
