Roberta Nazimovitz, Pembroke Pines, 84

Roberta Nazimovitz’s courage and determination, to make a difference in the lives of the members and community, has set her apart as a volunteer for Southwest Focal Point Senior Center.

Roberta is profoundly passionate about ensuring members get the most wonderful entertainment and shows available. She is always championing, as a huge crusader, in raising money for all different types of activities and events for the seniors to enjoy.

Ms. Nazimovitz is a retired school teache has volunteered her services as President of the Site Advisory Council, Honorary Board Member of PPTOPA (Theatre Group), and President of Arts Cultural Club.

Over the past 20 years, Ms. Nazimovitz assisted the Curator of Pembroke Pines in programming and promoting art exhibits for talented Pembroke Pines art students. She also was instrumental in getting the City to proclaim Jewish Heritage Month in May.

Roberta organizes a food pantry for residents at Century Village, and has designed and published poetry books, by seniors, for children. Most importantly, she has not lost her sense of purpose and continuously volunteers even after dealing with major family health issues.

Roberta Nazimovitz stands out as a perfect candidate for election to the Broward Senior Hall of Fame.
