Pat Crowley is by far Oakland Park’s most active volunteer, participating in every Oakland Park Volunteer Corps opportunity throughout the year. She has been on the "Adopt A Street" team since 2010. Pat is also on the City’s Graffiti Patrol, eliminating graffiti within hours of reporting, as well as removing snipe (corner) signs throughout the city. Ms. Crowley helps with annual city events including Tree Give Away, Waterway Cleanup, Parks Cleanup, Oktoberfest, and holiday celebrations. She does yardwork and painting at the Operation Our Neighbor, helping seniors, vets, and the disabled with home improvements.
Ms. Crowley has managed several volunteer events, for example leading service volunteers at the Culinary Arts Showcase, and always participates in and supervises events at National Make A Difference Day.
Pat is a volunteer office assistant, increasing her management and promotion of the Corps. She has demonstrated unsurpassed reliability, has averaged over 250 volunteer hours for the past 5 years and was the recipient of the city’s Volunteer Of The Year in 2015.
Pat has always performed these activities with a smile and personable approach. Ms. Crowley fills in where needed in numerous City offices. Staff speaks very highly about her. Pat Crowley has become invaluable to the success of the Oakland Park Volunteer Program, and is a most deserving candidate for the Broward Senior Hall of Fame.
