Raise support from friends and family here in Florida or across the country by honoring someone you love, know or have lost to brain injury. REGISTER FREE and receive a T-Shirt at the walk while supplies last ($10 Suggested Donation). All proceeds support BIAF’s programs and services helping Florida’s families since 1985. BIAF is a 501(c)(3) corporation and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The Fort Lauderdale Story Slam

Cost: $15 Regular Tickets; $10 Seniors/Students

The Fort Lauderdale Story Slam is a storytelling contest that features people telling 5-7 minute true stories about their own lives. The performers include both novices and seasoned storytellers, and at every event the stories cover a wide range of human experience, from the utterly silly to the deeply profound. There is $100 prize money for the favorite story of the night, and two $50 prizes for the runners-up. Funding for this project is provided in part by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council.
